Diversification is more than a strategy; it is a natural, healthy path of growth and also a necessity for long-term stability and sustainable business development in the construction industry. This principle is driving RCBB Gruppe’s continued expansion in Germany, as we strengthen our capabilities beyond traditional Structural Construction Works, or Rohbau, and advance into the field of Civil Engineering, or Ingenieurbau.
A key milestone in this journey is our involvement in the U5 infrastructure project in Munich. Last summer, we started work on the extension of the U5 underground line, with 3 additional stops, to facilitate traffic and urban mobility in a crowded area in the west of the city. The project is conducted in collaboration with Berger Bau and has an estimated development period of 2.5 years.
In collaboration with MAX BOGL, a trusted partner with whom we have built a strong working relationship over the past years, we have taken on new challenges in bridge construction. This marks an important step in broadening our technical expertise and reinforcing our position in the engineering sector. Our team is currently building a bridge over a highway in Backnang, with a crucial role in improving traffic flow, optimizing logistics, and supporting economic development in a rapidly expanding region. We launched the activity recently on a second infrastructure project, a bridge on the A9 Highway in Bayreuth.
These projects come with increased complexity and responsibility, but also with the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to precision, quality, and safety, standards that define our work. The execution of these structures is not only about connecting infrastructure, but also about strengthening long-term partnerships based on trust and performance.
At the same time, we are contributing to other types of large-scale infrastructure developments in Germany. At the end of March, we opened a new construction site in the Stuttgart region, part of a €500 million investment for the airport connection of the new Stuttgart–Ulm railway line, aimed at transforming mobility and urban connectivity. Our team is doing the formwork and reinforcement works for the continuous foundations that will support noise protection walls at the tunnel entrance.
Working alongside renowned companies such as Wayss & Freytag and Züblin, we continue to learn, adapt, and deliver at the highest level.
We take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to our German partners for their trust and collaboration. Their support has played a significant role in our development and integration into complex engineering projects.
Our experience in both Rohbau and Ingenieurbau highlights not only the differences between these disciplines, but also the shared foundation they require: uncompromising standards in execution, attention to detail, and a strong safety culture.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to growth and ready to take on new challenges, continuing to build, develop, and contribute to impactful infrastructure projects across Germany.
