On Friday, October 24, 2025, RCBB Gruppe participated in this year’s edition of the Building HEALTH Bucharest International Forum. Our colleague Silviu Bolea, Health & Safety Manager, spoke about the safety and well-being of the people who build impressive things every day, a topic that is both technical and profoundly human.
Building HEALTH is the first event in Romania dedicated exclusively to the quality of medical spaces and healthcare construction. This year’s edition focused on “The People of Health” — the professionals who design, build, and manage healthcare spaces. Participants included a wide range of stakeholders: hospital managers, investors, architects, builders, project managers, and consultants.
Held in Bucharest, the event provided an excellent platform for discussions on the quality of medical facilities, construction standards, and the collaboration between design, execution, and management professionals.
For RCBB Gruppe, attending this forum represented a reaffirmation of our position as a reliable partner in quality construction, with a special focus on medical projects.
Our international portfolio includes complex works in Germany, such as major healthcare campuses, an experience that we successfully transfer to the Romanian market.
Internally, RCBB Gruppe applies a rigorous Health & Safety policy: regular training, team accountability, continuous inspections, quick incident reporting, and recognition of teams that embrace preventive behavior.
Through our participation at Building HEALTH, we had the opportunity to showcase this commitment — not only at the site level, but also at the strategic and operational management level.
Silviu Bolea, as Health & Safety Manager, focused his presentation on two key directions:
-
Safety on construction sites for medical projects – highlighting the need to adapt Health & Safety measures to the specific requirements of healthcare buildings: high-traffic areas, sensitive technical equipment, strict hygiene needs, and dedicated circuits.
-
Transferring German know-how to the Romanian market – demonstrating how German standards, best practices, and integrated management systems (training, inspection, reporting) are implemented within RCBB Gruppe and how they contribute to reducing incidents and improving execution quality.
His intervention emphasized how a construction company can integrate a culture of safety as an inseparable part of every project — especially in healthcare, where risks are more complex.
“In medical infrastructure, safety is not an option but the foundation of performance.
We know that, in theory, safety is about rules, equipment, and procedures.
But in reality, it’s about people and communication — about how we choose to protect one another. At first glance, construction and healthcare may seem like two different worlds.
But the truth is that medical infrastructure stands on the foundation of safety — the safety and health of the people who build it and, by extension, of those who will use it.On our sites, safety and quality are not separate chapters, but two sides of the same coin.
Every worker, every engineer knows exactly why a measure exists and sees it not as an obstacle but as a guarantee that the project moves forward without risks,”
said Silviu Bolea in his address.
The participation of RCBB Gruppe at the Building HEALTH Bucharest International Forum reflects our core commitment: people first.
In a world where the quality of medical spaces is increasingly important, along with the safety of those who design and build them, RCBB Gruppe stands as a responsible partner with international experience and solid values.
We continue to build not just structures, but safe, efficient, and sustainable environments — for people, communities, and the future.
